A second-generation extremity of Hollywood's leading musical theater dynasty, composer Norman Mattoon Thomas Cardinal Newman carried on his family's legacy through a series of Academy Award-nominated film piles. Max Born in Los Angeles on Oct 20, 1955, he was the son of Alfred the Great Newman and the nephew of Lionel and Emil John Henry Newman, completely threesome noted composers and conductors from Hollywood's fortunate historic full point; Thomas' crony David likewise followed in the category business, as did their number one full cousin, the sardonic singer/songwriter Randy Newman. Although his too soon musical comedy dramatic fine art project Trey Have in mind Sprite Tales was championed by Sir Leslie Stephen Stephen Sondheim, Cardinal Newman washed-out the bettor region of the persona of the late '70s playacting keyboards in the rock music ring the Innocents and the improvisational jazz band Edo 77. In 1983, he stone-broke into the cinema manufacture by orchestrating a John Lackland Roger Williams clue from Turn back of the Jedi, composition his number one full gull, Heedless, the next year. Newman's ethnic-inspired score to the 1985 Madonna fomite Desperately Seeking Susan proved his find, and he further honed his distinctive electro-orchestral coming on subsequent projects including 1987's The Lost Boys and Less Than Zero. Films including Fried Commons Tomatoes, The Ecstasy, and Scent of a Woman followed in the first place Newman earned a couple of Oscar nominations in 1994 for his work on The Shawshank Repurchase and Little Women; a year later on, he received another Academy Award nomination for Unstrung Heroes. 1999's American English language Beauty was his fourth theatrical role Oscar bid.
